We are very happy to introduce to you Astitva: An Identity, the very first magazine for South Asian Women over 40, in Canada.
A lot of thought went into the process before we arrived at the concept of this magazine. Based on market research on different platforms addressing various issues related to women, we inferred that there have been only a few initiatives towards creating sensitivity to women who are approaching the good second half of their lives, assuming and wishing that they would make a century in this game called LIFE! The best idea that can create awareness in the most easily accessible way, we thought, was a handy readable magazine for women approaching 50 years.
The objective of the magazine is to cater to the needs of South Asian Women (SAW) residing in Canada. We assert that our magazine has the competence to establish a niche for itself as we would also incorporate views from women residing in South Asian countries, to add the element of comparison and contrast and to give SAW a subconscious feel of connection with their sisters from their countries of origin.
The magazine will bring to platter all areas that would be of concern and utmost interest to our focus community of women. It would be an exhaustive presentation of their interests, desires, needs and problems (physical, social, psychological, family, language...) through messages, interviews, news, stories, health tips, cases, book reviews, recipes, latest events related to women and a lot more! That’s not all!  In addition, it will provide a multifarious platform for women entrepreneurs, women socialists, women leaders and women from all walks of life to reflect and project their expertise, experience and their contribution to individual, family and societal development at large. Efforts have already begun to make it a powerful source of inspiration and bring our focus group of women together through this thread to fill the approaching years of their lives with spice and energy.
We therefore encourage you to showcase your products and services in this unique magazine that would directly touch the lives of thousands of women who are end users and decision makers.
