ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the word"Astitva" means the whole personality not only identity or existence. identity is only the part of "Astitva". You are trying to give strength and platform to South Asian Women to find their "Astitva",so my all good wishes for your wonderful journey.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I think Astitva An Identity Magazine - exist for you - all South Asian Women over 40. Please don't go after the number 40. It is only a number. I know some of you may not like to identify with this number as you have your own identity which is not bound by numbers. Let's hear from you about your journey of life to Canada from where ever you have arrived. How has Canada - a land of opportunity - has provided opportunities for you. Astitva would like to hear your inspiring stories. Stories about your new found careers, your experiences and yourself and about your dear ones that will be an inspiration for others. ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea ... its about time we have a platform that is real and raw, cultural, yet all Canadian. I come from immigrant parents who came from India ... I was born here in Canada, and certainly proud to be a Canadian, but even more so, proud to be an Indian ... and as a wife, mother, and career woman, my experiences will hopefully give my children a real understanding of what it means to be Canadian above and beyond what mainstream society has defined it to be ... mainstream is multicultural ... mainstream is women moving up in the world above and beyond we could have ever imagined. Let us all embrace this as women regardless of age or cultural ... we are what makes the world turn. Angie Seth, Anchor, OMNI Television
